Kia ora, I'm Kate, I am a Christchurch-based photographer and writer. I have been wielding a camera for as long as I can remember. My passions lie in capturing the emotion, action, and in-between moments of sport. I truly believe it is one of the few things can really bring people together. It is my job to photograph the fleeting moments, so that we can continue to relive them. I also specialise in documentary photography; capturing life as it is. This also extends into commercial work.

Writing is another facet of storytelling which I use to explore both the beauty and difficulties in this world. I write both non-fiction essays and fiction prose. I have been short-listed for the Sargeson Prize, runner-up in the Sunday Star Times competition, and twice commended in the Landfall Essay Competition.
